Finally visited Orkney last year! "King Hereafter" is still my favourite of DD's books

I just finished reading the Lymond series for the third time since I originally purchased them long ago. Love, love them. I also have and enjoy the Niccolo series. Her talent is sorely missed.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dorothy Dunnett, she is by far the best historical fiction writer of all time. Without her I could not have written my books.

A note to welcome the re-publication of Johnson Johnson mysteries. I discovered the Lymond chronicles on a trip to the US some 9 years ago now, and have since re-read them and the Niccolo series several times. A little over 9 months ago I decided to search out the 'Dolly' series and did manage to acquire them all second hand via Amazon. I am on my second read through of the series now and, as always, with Dorothy Dunnett am really enjoying finding the depths and new intricacies I missed first time round.

[All the 'Dolly' - or 'Johnson Johnson' - mysteries are now available through our Amazon shop. Click the "Shopping" link above.]
