Friday | Lectures in a beautiful Victorian theatre within Chester’s Grosvenor Museum building: Katherine Wilson on ‘Silk – Europe’s rich fabric and its production and uses in the Middle Ages’; and Tom Pickles on Chester’s Viking history. Both are senior lecturers in Medieval History at Chester University.
Saturday | Coach trip to the Macclesfield Silk Museum and Paradise Mill.
Sunday | Chester’s Viking history through a re-enactment and guided walk along Chester’s historic streets.
Plus the opportunity to meet and discuss Thorfinn’s exploits in Chester with both old and new friends. Time, too, to enjoy a Gala Dinner and other culinary delights.
